Cheap & Simple - Cock Doggies do the trick

Recipe: Little Cock Doggies – More Please

The first time I saw my fellow pintsman crank out the Cocktail Frankfurt’s I thought we were going to have to call the boys in white jackets. But I stand corrected.

Little Cock Doggies
Some will claim that they’ve always cooked them this way – others will stand in awe. Either way, these are a great back-up snack that you can have ready to go in the fridge always.

Ingredients
  1. Cocktail Frankfurters
  2. Your favourite ketchup or tomato sauce
Instructions
  1. Take your beer of choice and pour half into yourself
  2. Bribe your mate with a beer to clean the hotplate & get the grill nice and clean, and get it to medium temp
  3. Empty the little fellas onto the BBQ and line them up in the groves of the grill. Turn them as needed but you want to make sure you get a few scorch marks. This isn’t just because it looks cool – it’s also where they will open up and let you see inside
  4. When you are happy with the color they have taken on you can transfer them to the hotplate. Roll them around for a while and make sure they are heated all the way through.
  5. Plate up – delicious
Always Ready
  1. Keep a vacuum sealed pack (pick one up from the small goods section) in the fridge. They normally keep for a reasonable time.
Perfect For
  1. Unexpected Pintsmen
  2. Cheap snack time
  3. All the food's gone, it's 2am you're still hungry
