Red-faced and can’t speak, but you will definitely feel alive after chomping down a few of these.

Inspired by the observation that if the snacks are too spicy more are left on the plate, this beer snack is not for the faint hearted

Ingredients
  1. 500g (1lb) of beef steak (blade, skirt and round are perfect)
  2. Bamboo skewers
  3. Plastic bags (1 x freezer or food grade and 2 x shopping plastic bags)
Spices
  1. Salt and pepper
  2. Cumin
  3. Chili powder
  4. Chili flakes
  5. Cayenne pepper
Instructions
  1. Take a beer, pour half into yourself. Empty that and another full beer into a stein.
  2. Spend some time preparing the beef into nice sized chunks (roughly inch sized) being sure to remove any gristle, fat and sinew.
  3. Mix your spices together putting in as much as you think you can handle of each

  1. Put all the bags inside each other, food grade in the middle
  2. Shake out half the spice mix roughly covering the bottom of the set up
  3. Put the cubed beef in and cover with the rest of the spices
  4. Tie each bag up, tying each to the next - shake it
  5. Skewer up 3 or 4 chunks per stick
  6. Cook on medium heat hotplate with a little oil. We don't want to burn all the spices so don't crank the heat.
  7. Boom
Notes
  1. Hopefully you've used enough chili and after the 3rd or 4th one you will start to hurt
  2. Take note of the anger other people give you because they have watched all this unfold and have been hanging to have some - but they can't now because it's too freaking hot. Hahaha.
