Crunchy Chicken Dippers
Crunchy Chicken Dippers with no oil, easy and tasty? Yes it's true! Oven baked so while you're waiting you can punch down a pint or two and tidy, all done in less than an hour.
Write a review
- 2 chicken breast
- 2 eggs
- some flour
- some breadcrumbs
Seasoning of choice
- Salt (must)
- Chili Powder?
- Chicken Salt?
- (got any chicken stock powder laying around? Throw that in...)
- Open up a beer and pour half into yourself
- Set oven to 425F 220C
- Slice chicken into nice sized strips that you think would be a good size to dip with. Remember, they will shrink a little. The main thing is to try to keep them all a similar size, so that they are all ready at the same time.
- Wash your filthy chicken hands
Set up Crunching Station in this order
- Flour on one plate
- Eggs cracked in a bowl (give em a whisk)
- Breadcrumbs on another plate, add all your seasonings and mix it through
- Large oven tray (line the tray with cooking paper, or use a little oil etc)
Now Prepare That Crunch!
- Be sure to totally cover those chickens in flour
- Now with the egg - run it through but pause a little at the end to let excess fall away
- Breadcrumb the crap out of them
- Oven for 25 mins, turn them carefully, then another 10 mins or so until they have reached the desired crunch
- Once you take them out and they start to cool shake a little salt over them
- Throw them in a bowl, get a bunch of dipping sauces, and enjoy
If you find that they are not crunchy enough
- Too much egg?
- Try using only egg whites
- Try leaving the oven door open for the second half of the cooking to let the steam out
- Fan forced?
- Make them a little skinnier next time man!
